My favorite artist. Period. Why? This dude manages to create a perfect marriage of jazz and folk, sprinkled with hints of psychedelia. Profound lyrics echoing through sleepy soulful vocals that carry far off into the distance while lying on a bed of gorgeous untouched chords and beauty in between. Nothing beats the sultry bass rumblings of Sam as you sit at the edge of your mind, basking in the forest of novel soundscapes. There's a profound aching here of carefully sculpted tenderness. Love it.
